Explore Historic Old Phuket Town

The design of our resort is inspired by the Sino-Portuguese architecture of Phuket Old Town, so is well worth a visit to explore the living history. The Old Town is located amid five wonderfully restored narrow streets where you will see an abundance of temples (Chinese and Buddhist), beautiful ‘shophouses’, small printing shops and a once infamous red light district. The Old Town was created during a turn of the century Tin-Mining boom and the old colonial mansions of the wealthy Tin barons lie waiting to be discovered.
The town itself is not that big, so you can easily walk around rather than taking any transport. Beautification of the historic core has meant a large number of quaint coffee shops and cafes have opened up. The Old Town was awarded the UNESCO City of Gastronomy, so has a large selection of restaurants to stop for a taste of authentic Phuketian cuisine.
